The QUANTUM ST5 offers an optimized complete package based on the specially developed and sensitive 'scientific grade' 16-bit USB2 camera with 2.0 / 7.6 megapixel Sony ICX-CCD sensor. Excellent imaging properties guarantee best performance for nucleic acid and protein samples. The images generated allow for multiple analyses due to their high depth of data. As well, they can very easily be printed out in a nice way for the laboratory book.


The image quality is significantly improved by configuration with Super-Bright illumination and filter technology, especially for DNA and RNA gels. Optional UV epi illumination sources (254 nm, 365 nm) allow for TLC or GFP images, for instance. The compact darkroom with integrated filter wheel is completely made of metal. For comfortable work, the integrated UV transilluminator is completely extendable.

Within the updated software platform VISION the different steps of a typical gel documentation are completely merged into each other. Despite extensive functions for image acquisition, display, editing, analysis and output, we kept the user interface clean and simple. This ensures ease of use without the need of extensive training.
