Since decades, western blots are carried out according to the more or less same sequential protocol.

The typical experimental workflow starting with the electrophoresis until the detection usually takes two full working days. Frequently it requires a laborious and time-consuming optimization of numerous individual steps. Many parameters have to be adjusted to limit undesired phenomena (background, non-specific bands , artifacts) until the final results are in a presentable, meaningful and quantifiable form.

The PURITY™ WB HRP Detection System virtually eliminates the need for optimizations. Another unique feature of Western blot 2.0: the entire immune reaction is limited to one single step. Thus, electrophoresis , blotting, detection, evaluation and planning of the following experiment can be performed during one working day. This saves time and resources.

PURITY™ contains all relevant components needed for the reaction - except for your specific primary antibody. Its special formulation allows PURITY™ to block nonspecific binding sites on the membrane and to create reaction conditions, that prevent low-affinity (nonspecific ) binding of the antibody. In addition, PURITY™ significantly speeds up and simplifies the total western workflow dramatically.

The perfect complement to PURITY™ are the PURECL™ chemiluminescent substrates. They refute the common observation that sensitive chemiluminescent detections are often realized only at the price of an increased background.
